What goes into a 60-second highlight reel delivered in 48 hours
The night ends, the crowd goes home, and the clock starts. Here's what happens between the last song and a 60-second highlight reel two days later.
The days straight after an event are when people care most. They're posting their own clips, tagging friends and reliving the night. A highlight reel that lands in that window gets shared far more than one that arrives a month later.
That's why we offer a 60-second highlight reel within 48 hours of the event. Here's what goes into making that possible, and how organisers can help.
It starts before the event
A fast edit depends on knowing what matters before the cameras roll. The run sheet, the key moments, the sponsor logos that must appear and the music direction are all agreed up front. On the night, the crew isn't just filming. They're filming for an edit they already have in mind.
On the night
The camera team prioritises the moments that will carry a short reel: the opening, the crowd at its peak, the headliner, the big effects cues, and the faces. Footage is backed up as soon as possible, because a fast turnaround leaves no time to recover lost cards.
The first 24 hours: selects and structure
A minute of video might come from many hours of footage. The first job is finding the best few seconds of each moment, then building a structure that moves: a hook in the opening seconds, a build, a peak and a clean ending with your branding.
The second 24 hours: polish and deliver
Next comes colour grading so every shot feels like the same night, sound design and music timing, and titles or logos. Then exports for each platform: vertical for Reels and TikTok, widescreen for YouTube and your website.
How organisers can help
- Agree the music in advance. Rights issues are the most common cause of delays.
- Name one person for feedback. One clear round of notes is faster than five people replying separately.
- Send logos and must-haves before the event, not after.
- Plan your posting time so the reel goes out while attendees are still online and engaged.
